Stavanger Kunsthall

Stavanger Kunstforening was designed by the local architect Erik Erga for the Stavanger Art Society in 1925 and is a prime example of a restrained form of Nordic Classicism, poised between historicism and modernism. The building was extended in 1962 by another local architect Toralf Kaada, to provide additional exhibition spaces tucked in at the back of the building.Kunsthall Stavanger is a contemporary art institution that serves as a platform for the production, exhibition, and distribution of artworks and runs an exciting public program of events and workshops.
